January 19, 2012, Monroe County History Center, Bloomington, IN.

John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his Indiana photography books at the Monroe County History Center on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 7 pm. The title of John's presentation will be "Capturing the Soul of Indiana--A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage," and will be a part of the History Center's Third Thursday Program series. January 28, 2012, Vermillion County Public Library, Newport, IN

John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his work at the Vermillion County Public Library in Newport, Indiana at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 28, 2012. The title of his presentation will be "Capturing the Soul of Indiana--A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage" and it will feature black-and-white images from all 7 of his Indiana photography books. February 2, 2012, South Whitley/Cleveland Township Public Library, South Whitley, IN

John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his work at the South Whitley/Cleveland Township Public Library in South Whitley, IN on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 6:30 PM. The title of his presentation will be "The Common Good: An Indiana Heritage built with taxes, tithes, and tuition," and it will cover John's most recent Indiana photography book of the same title. February 17-19, 2012, Indiana Art Fair, Indiana State Museum, Indianapolis, IN

John Bower will be participating in the 9th Annual Indiana Art Fair at the Indiana State Museum. He will be visiting with the public and offering his Indiana photographs and Indiana photography books for sale at a discount. The Museum is located at 650 W. Washington St. in Indianapolis. Hours for the Art Fair are Friday (February 17, 2012) from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, Saturday (February 18, 2012) from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday (February 19, 2012) from 11 am to 5 pm.

March 26, 2012, Landmarks of Fountain County, Attica, IN

John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his Indiana photography books entitled "Capturing the Soul of Indiana--A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage" for Landmarks of Fountain County, in Attica, Indiana on March 26, 2012. The presentation will be held at 7:00 pm in the c.1850 Old Church, which is located at 360 Main Street. The Old Church is the centerpiece of Attica's historic John Cottrell Villiage. This event is free and open to the public, and there will be a book sale and signing afterward.

March 31, April 1, 2012, Indiana Artisan Marketplace, Indianapolis, IN

John Bower will be offering his books and photographs for sale, and will be meeting with the public, at the second annual Indiana Artisan Marketplace on Saturday, March 31, 2012 and Sunday, April 1, 2012. This exclusive event will be held in the Expo Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, and there are expected to be over 200 premier exhibitors. In addition to browsing the booths, visitors again will enjoy Indiana music, live art and craft demonstration  and food and drink tasting. Hours on Saturday will be 10 am to 6 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. There is an $10 admission charge, and children 15 and under will be admitted at no charge. The Fairgrounds has a $3 parking fee. Note: On March 30, 2012, there will be a “Trade” show day of the Marketplace, which will be open to wholesale buyers only, not the general public.

April 10, 2012, Anderson Public Library, Anderson, IN

As a part of National Library Week, John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his Indiana photography books at the Anderson Public Library onTuesday, April 10, 2012 at 6:00 pm. His presentation will be titled "Capturing the Soul of Indiana--A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage," and there will be a book sale and signing afterward. April 14, 2012, Alexandria-Monroe Public Library, Alexandria, IN

As a part of National Library Week, John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his Indiana photography at the Alexandria-Monroe Public Library on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The title of his presentation will be "Silent Workplace: Stores, shops, businesses, and factories where Hoosiers once earned a living," and it will cover his Indiana photography book of the same title. There will also be a book sale and signing afterward. The library is located at 117 E. Church St. in Alexandria and its phone number is 765-724-2196.

May 7, 2012, Antiquarian Society of St. Joseph County, South Bend, IN

John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his Indiana photography books entitled "Capturing the Soul of Indiana--A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage" for the Antiquarian Society of St. Joseph County at its annual spring luncheon in South Bend, Indiana on May 7, 2012. The presentation will be held at the Morris Inn, which is at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend. There will also be a book sale and signing afterward.

May 10, 2012, Indiana Library Federation, District 5/7 Annual Conference, Bloomington, IN

John Bower will be giving a PowerPoint presentation about his Indiana photography books entitled "Capturing the Soul of Indiana--A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage" at the District 5 & 7 Annual Conference of the Indiana Library Federation. The Conference will be held on May 10, 2012 at the Black Cultural Center on Bloomington's Indiana University Campus, and John's presentation will be at 11:30 am in theGrand Hall of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center. There will be a book sale and signing afterward.
