John Bower will have 2 photographs in the Bloomington Photography Club exhibition at the John Waldron Art Center. The exhibit will run from February 1, 2008 through February 29, 2008. March 6, 2008, Boone Co. Breeders and Feeders Assn. Fish Fry, Lebanon, IN

John Bower will be giving a slide presentation about his work at the Boone County Breeders and Feeders Association's Annual Fish Fry on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 6:30 PM. The title of his presentation will be "Capturing the Soul of Indiana—A celebration of our overlooked cultural heritage." There will also be a book signing. The Fish Fry, and presentation, will be held in the Community Building at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds, which is located on the southeast corner of Lebanon. Admission for the "all you can eat" Fish Fry is $7.50 for adults and $4.00 for children under 10.

March 12, 2008, Lawrenceburg Public Library, Lawrenceburg, IN

John Bower will be giving a slide presentation about his work at the Lawrenceburg Public Library in Lawrenceburg, IN on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM. John Bower will be taking part in the Indiana Author Fair at the Greenwood Public Library on Saturday, April 12, 2008, which will be held from 10:00 an to 2:00 pm. This solo exhibit will feature a selection of photographs from all of John Bower's photography books. The exhibit will run from Friday June 27, 2008 through Saturday August 16, 2008. August 2008, Indiana State Fair, Indianapolis, IN

John Bower will be meeting the public as well as signing (and selling) all five of his books at the Indiana Authors Showcase, which will be at the Home and Family Arts Building at the Indiana State Fair on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. John will be in the Indiana Authors Showcase booth, which is located inside the Home and Family Arts Building, to the left of the main entrance (next to the performance stage).

May-September 2008, Monroe Bank, Bloomington, IN

John Bower will have 2 photographs in an exhibit celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Monroe County Courthouse. The exhibit is sponsored by Monroe Bank and the Bloomington Area Arts Council, and will be in Monroe Bank's Kirkwood Banking Center. It will run from May 19 to September 20, 2008. The Bank is located at 210 E. Kirkwood in Bloomington. A reception will be held on May 22, 2008 at 5:30 pm.

September-October 2008, Art Bank, Indianapolis, IN

John Bower will have a solo exhibition of his black-and-white photographs at the the Art Bank gallery at 811 Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis from September 1 until October 22, 2008. John will be at the gallery to meet the public and to sign copies of his five photography books during the IDADA (Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association) First Friday Arts Tour, which runs from from 6 to 9 PM on September 5. In its fifth year, the First Friday Arts Tour will have over 25 downtown galleries and art venues participating in the evening's festivities.

September 27, 2008, Heritage Festival Days, Hope, IN

John Bower will have a book signing at the Hope Star-Journal from 2-4 pm during the Heritage Festival Days in Hope, IN on September 27, 2008.
